Let’s be honest, nobody likes to wait for anything.  We want what we want, when we want it.  But there are at least 4 benefits to waiting that are helpful to consider when you find yourself in a situation where all you can do is wait.  I’ll share one each day for the next 4 days.

1. Waiting leads to expectancy.

Most people like to have something to look forward to.  Sometimes waiting is tough, but when you know there’s potential for a positive result, waiting becomes manageable.

My daughters had an expectancy that Santa Clause would visit our home on Christmas Eve night and leave them lots of presents.  So, in the weeks leading up to December 25th, they made it clear they couldn’t wait for Christmas morning.

But, what if they wouldn’t of had to wait?  Would the experience have been as exciting?  Probably not.  Why?  Because waiting leads to expectancy.

If you find yourself in a holding pattern, waiting for what’s next, think about the fact that without the waiting, the benefit of expectancy wouldn’t exist.
